HY-C began with D. Alan Hisey in St. Louis, Missouri. From 1947 through the early 1950s, Hisey established his career in the chimney business by making aluminum chimney covers by hand in his residential garage.

What started in that garage has since grown into a trusted name across many corners of the home solutions industry, from pest and wildlife exclusion to outdoor power equipment to fireplace and hearth accessories. The family may have grown, but chimneys are where HY-C started, and they've never strayed far from those roots.
